A PRACTICAL FRAMEWORK FOR MENTAL HEALTH MANAGEMENT
The MNSTR Method is an approach to mental health management grounded in self-development practices that support the mind, regulate the nervous system, and broaden perspective.
Managing mental health involves many intersecting factors, including personal history, current mental state, lifestyle, access to resources, safety, environment, and self-awareness. The MNSTR Method acknowledges these variables and focuses on what remains within your control.
The practices within this method are accessible and rely primarily on your own efforts. They were developed through lived experience, ongoing self-observation, and sustained practice. The intention is not perfection or optimization, but sustainability.

the foundation
The MNSTR Method is built on four core foundations explored throughout this site:
- Self-reliance: Learning to trust yourself, take responsibility for your inner world, and stay consistent with what supports you
- Awareness: Recognizing patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses with honesty
- Compassion: Meeting yourself with steadiness and care rather than judgment.
- Embodiment: Using movement and presence to regulate, strengthen, and reconnect mind and body.
Together, these foundations support a steady, embodied approach to mental health management.
what this method offers
The MNSTR Method is not a cure, a program, or a rigid system. It is a mental health toolkit.
It invites observation, reflection, and daily engagement with practices that support regulation and awareness. While these practices require effort, they are designed to work within your means and adapt to your life.
This method emphasizes consistency over intensity, and agency over external authority.
the core practices
These six practices form the core of the MNSTR Method. Each supports a different aspect of mental health, and together they create a steady approach to reflection, regulation, and growth. The practices below have dedicated pages for deeper exploration.
1. JOURNALING
A practice of externalizing thoughts and emotions to build clarity, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. Journaling creates space to reflect, observe patterns, and respond with intention.

2. MEDITATION
A practice of sitting with awareness, often anchored in the breath and bodily sensations. Meditation supports nervous system regulation, presence, and mental clarity.

3. SKATEBOARDING
A movement-based practice that combines physical engagement, presence, and sensory awareness. Skateboarding offers grounding, regulation, and confidence through embodied experience.
→ Explore more on the Skateboarding page
4. SELF-MASTERY
The practice of building self-discipline, resilience, and consistency through challenges and routines. Self-mastery supports long-term mental and physical well-being.
→ Explore more on the Self-Mastery page
5. STAY CURIOUS
An ongoing practice of learning to support growth, curiosity, and mental engagement. Seeking knowledge strengthens perspective, reduces rumination, and supports adaptability through understanding.
→ Explore more on the Stay Curious page
6. SELF-CARE
A mindful approach to caring for mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Self-care within this method emphasizes balance and awareness rather than escape.

intention + consistency
Like any meaningful practice, these methods become more effective when approached with intention. Being clear about when and how a practice fits into your life helps it become part of your rhythm. Consistency, even in small doses, creates change.
“What you return to becomes what supports you.”
a personal note
The MNSTR Method grew from my own search for steady, accessible ways to manage mental health. Through daily practice, reflection, and self-observation, these tools have helped me build resilience, clarity, and trust in myself.
The practices continue to evolve as I do.
Each practice offers a different entry point. What matters most is developing awareness through experience and returning to the practices that support you.
